Abstract

[Extract] In May 2013, Australian prime minister Julia Gillard surprised her constituents by tweeting in Dothraki, a fictional language created for HBO's hit television series Game of Thrones (2011-2019). Her tweets followed a video interview with Guardian Australia in which she expressed much enthusiasm for the series.
