Abstract
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease is a life-threatening genetic disease with serious complications and symptoms including enlarged kidneys, end-stage kidney disease, intracranial aneurysm, pain, and infection. Constant medical monitoring, medications, and dependence on kidney replacement therapy impose a significant treatment burden. Consequently, these can have a detrimental impact on the quality of life and psychosocial and social outcomes in patients with ADPKD.
