Coral reef restoration is emerging as a strategy to combat the coral reef crisis, but, in an era of warming seas, is it a worthwhile endeavour?

Research Significance It provides a plain english version of what is a very complex socio-economic and marine science field. It also offers support to the United Nations Environment Program Ecosystem Restoration decade. This special issue was commissioned by the United Nations.
