Abstract

[Extract] As of 1st January 2015, I have taken on the responsibility of Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Population Research (JPR). I consider it an honour and a privilege to serve this most important demographic journal. It also gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the first edition of JPR for which I have acted as editor.
