Abstract
[Extract] Rehabilitation is an integral part of cancer care. Cancer rehabilitation programmes can help patients maximize their independence and improve their quality of life, regardless of life expectancy.
Patients are assessed for their rehabilitation needs, which can include physical, emotional, spiritual and social concerns. A multiprofessional team of therapists and specialists working together provides individualised cancer rehabilitation programmes.
