[Extract] Since its relocation to the University of Queensland Press in 1996, the Journal of Australian Studies has grown steadily in reputation as one of Australia's leading public intellectual forums. Published quarterly, JAS engages some of the most pressing debates of the day while providing scope for more contemplative analyses of Australian culture, society, political institutions and economic formations.
