Abstract
Significant improvements in walking performance for peripheral vascular disease patients with intermittent claudication (IC) following regular aerobic exercise have been documented. However, very few of these studies have examined patient quality of life (QOL) using a disease specific questionnaire such as the Intermittent Claudication Questionnaire (ICQ). Therefore, the current study examined the effects of a 12-week supervised walking programme on QOL (ICQ) and walking performance in IC patients.
