Abstract
By stitching together fragmented research streams, this study theoretically developed the Internet Presence construct and tested its effects on website analytics and e-retailor profitability. An empirical model was developed and tested through structural equation modeling technique using a sample of 100 online retailers randomly selected from an online database of the top 5,000 retailers. The results suggest that social media presence and diversity in internet traffic positively affect website analytics which in turn affect financial performance.
