Abstract
[Extract] Ultimately, my job involves working with athletes. But exactly who is an athlete? Well, in part, that depends on the desired results of the training plan. I train a variety of athletes from a variety of sports; pre-elite youth, industrial and occupational, semi-pro and professional. However, the overriding theme is to enhance ‘movement athleticism’.This is a movement-centered approach aimed at enhancing athleticism. Such an approach emphasizes development of the biomotor abilities such as strength, endurance, speed, agility, flexibility, balance and coordination.
