Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of ethnographic research. Like other qualitative research approaches there are many adaptations of ethnography, however all are concerned with the study of culture or cultural groups. The origins of this methodology are identified and the philosophical tenets that underpin the approach discussed. Data generation methods and a process to guide data analysis are featured.
