Abstract
[Extract] In October 2011 Progardes Desmanthus seed was aerially seeded onto a paddock at Wambiana Station (south of Charters Towers) which had previously been cleared of Gidgee, Whitewood and Bauhinia and had been burnt.Seed was dropped into ash. Establishment was initially slow but by 2017 a good well grazed stand of Progardes in predominately native grass had developed. Plant density averaged 5 plants /m2 with a frequency of 39%. Some stripping establishment patterns can be observed across the paddock due to flight path.
