Abstract
A 44 year old English woman was hit by a car when crossing a road in lraklion. Crete in August of this year. She sustained multiple orthopaedic injuries and was taken to the local hospital, treated and then evacuated to the UK. The aim of this article is to outline some of the problems confronted in the planning and execution of an aeromedical retrival of such a patient to the UK.
