Abstract

[Extract] Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a broad term encompassing a range of atherosclerotic and aneurysmal conditions of the extra-coronary arteries [1]. PAD is estimated to affect up to 15% of the population aged over 65 years and is predicted to become increasingly common in parallel with an aging population.
