Abstract

A solar combined heat and power cycle system driven by concentrating trough device was presented in this paper. The solar energy could be efficiently utilized with the combined cycle system, the power of the solar cell call be enhanced and the heat produced by solar cell can be recovered, both the power and heat were provided by the same concentrating trough collector. A experimental combined heating and power device driven by solar concentrating trough were constructed. The experimental results show that the power produced by solar cell can increase 4.05 time under 10 solar concentrating rate, also provide heat recovered from solar cells effectively. The hybrid utilization of solar energy can be reached with combined heat and power system.
