Abstract

The Australian Centre for Tropical Freshwater Research (ACTFR), James Cook University of North Queensland, Townsville, was engaged by NSR Environmental Consultants Pty. Ltd. (NSR) on behalf of South Pacific Chevron Company (Chevron) in April 1996 to undertake a vertebrate fauna survey of the Papua New Guinea to Queensland Gas Project Interim Corridor from Townsville to Gladstone. This study includes the review of existing fauna data for the Interim Corridor and in particular species of conservation significance.
