Abstract

The objective of this feasibility study is to provide the Townsville City Council with an assessment of the feasibility of using a constructed wetland for the treatment of effluent from the Horseshoe Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant (HBWWTP) to a standard suitable for the appropriate reuse/disposal options. The study provides an analysis and interpretation based on existing data of the Horseshoe Bay environment and existing knowledge of the operation of wetlands for wastewater treatment.
