Abstract
[Extract] Radio forms the largest part of the Indigenous media sector. As relatively accessible and inexpensive technology for entertainment and exchanging information, and for 'linking up' across the country, radio has been embraced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who recognise its significance in promoting Indigenous languages and culture, as well as Indigenous social and political agendas.
