Abstract
A diagnosis of breast cancer is devastating news for any woman, none more so than when a young woman is pregnant. In Australia, it is estimated that women have a one in eight chance of developing breast cancer by the age of 85 years (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare & Australasian Association of Cancer Registries 2012) with this incidence continuing to rise.
