Abstract

[Extract] Butler Matters: Judith Butler's Impact on Feminist and Queer Studies is a collection of essays which were first published in a special issue of the International Journal of Sexuality and Gender Studies and include a variety of topics related to Butlerian theory from a multidisciplinary perspective. The aim of this book is to explore the impact of Butler's theory on different fields of inquiry. The book is divided into four parts: 1. Introduction, 2. language, Melancholia and Subjectivity, 3. Body Matters: Archaeology, Literature, and Pedagogy, and 4. Agency, Poststructuralism, and Pragmatism.
