Abstract
[Extract] In 1982-3 Richard Wakeford, then the education advisor to the University of Cambridge Clinical School, and Brian Jolly, then at St Bartholomew's Medical College, London had a series of discussions focussed on the state of assessment of clinical students in the UK.
