Abstract

[Extract] It well know that adding a Cryogenic Receiver Front End (CRFE) to conventional base station receivers enables an increase in coverage and capacity, with enhancement varying between 2.3dBm and 6dBm, depending on the presence (or lack) of adjacent interference. The enhancement is due to high selectivity and linearity of a HTS filter and a cryogenic Low Noise Amplifier combination.
