Abstract
[Extract] 'Cannabis Withdrawal Syndrome' is proposed for inclusion in the next Diagnostic and Statistical Manual - DSM-5.¹ Withdrawal following cessation of prolonged use is recognised as clinically significant with a time course, independent of other substances and as a consequence of cannabis dependence. Of clinical importance, withdrawal contributes to difficulties abstaining from cannabis and to relapse.
