Abstract
[Extract] I read with interest Dr. Haouzi's (1) opinion article on murine models in critical care research. I commend Dr. Haouzi for raising the question on the validity of using the mouse model in light of their ability to enter torpid states during hypoxic or ischemic stress compared to humans.
