Abstract

[Extract] Our purpose is to raise issues for workshop discussion. In doing so we will attempt to map the conceptual terrain of rural social planning and welfare services within the broader frameworks of 'social care', 'rural change', 'soclal justice' and 'community'. While we cannot be entirely neutral, using broad frameworks which permit international diversity may help to minimise our biases.
