Abstract
[Extract] This research investigates the effect of various water quality parameters- in particular, pH and chlorine concentration- have on the rate of cast-iron corrosion in drinking water distribution system pipes. This was achieved through the comparison of results obtained by accelerated corrosion tests performed on cast iron and in-situ tests conducted within the Ingham, Queensland, water distribution network.
