Abstract

[Extract] Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) is an X-linked recessive disorder, which has much in common with Duchene's muscular dystrophy, although it runs a milder course. The disorder is because of an abnormality in locus Xp21.2, which encodes for the muscle protein dystrophin (1).
