Abstract

Indigenous men's groups can play a valuable role in addressing family violence, suicide and other social and emotional wellbeing issues. The aim of this paper is to briefly describe the empowerment interventions undertaken by Yarrabah's Yaba Bimbie Men's Group over the past seven years, and to provide references to the literature which provides more detail about the men's group processes.
