Abstract

This chapter provides an introduction to Part III, which explores the diversity of approaches and solutions to tourist destination governance through a number of case studies and writings of relevance. This includes addressing approaches to structural change, community engagement, networks and collaborations in the context of tourist destinations. This chapter also provides a summary of chapters under Part III. This chapter and the chapters following in Part III provide diverse examples related to these and other approaches, as well as solutions for moving forward in achieving effective tourist destination governance. A summary of the four chapters is provided, addressing solutions of relevance to structural change, community engagement, networks and collaborations in tourist destinations.
