Abstract
Tooth color is produced by complex mechanisms in the tooth and the eye and brain through sensory-physiological benefits perceived as complex. In the paper the basics of color vision, the production of tooth color in the tooth as well as strategies for the correct shade using optical sampling and with the colorimeter are described.
