Abstract

Single crystal materials exhibit much lower dielectric losses than their ceramic counterparts. The computed properties of high Q dielectric resonators which can be made of different single crystal materials are presented. Such resonators can operate at low temperatures with superconducting, metal or partly superconducting partly metal shield. For some single crystal cryogenic resonators Q-factors can be as high as 10^10 at 2 K and 10 GHz.
