Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to present results of a study conducted to determine an accurate solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity price in Queensland. An economical model and a computer simulation have been developed to determine the unit price of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic in $/kWh. This computer simulation enables us to accurately determine the most appropriate feed-in tariff that should be introduced by the state for grid-connected solar PV energy systems. This computer simulation can be expanded further to determine the PV electricity price in any location in Australia.
