Abstract

Supply chains are recovering from the sudden impact of COVID-19; therefore, this paper explores the potential impact of Additive Manufacturing (AM) on Logistics and Supply Chains Management (LSCM). This research utilizes information from current and existing literature related to timeline trends, publishers, research method and design, and active authors in this discipline. 158 papers collected from various publishing databases from 2011 to 2021 were explored using the keywords “3D Printing” or “additive manufacturing” and “supply chain” in their title and abstract. There has been significant growth in publication over the last 11 years. AM in LSCM. Most of the published articles (68%) are focused on desk qualitative and empirical triangulation and were conducted in developed countries, leaving gaps in the research. Lastly, the sustainable prospective applications of AM towards post-COVID-19 supply chain recovery require further consideration.
