Abstract

Image segmentation of retinal vessels is an important and very challenging task in any automated system for the diagnosis of vascular conditions associated with diabetic retinopathy, which are the most common complications of diabetes. In this paper we propose several fuzzy computational models for detecting retinal vessels in images, which are subjected to inconsistent contrast and vague boundaries.
