Research Statement

Research Background	This interview draws on Claire Brennan's expertise in the history of crocodile hunting. Her research has informed other, traditional, outputs as well as other interviews on topics to do with crocodiles in nothern Australia.
Research Contribution	Significant historical research allowed Claire Brennan to address the questions being asked in this relatively extended interview. She is the sole academic expert in the history of crocodile hunting in Australia and her knowledge is drawn from extensive primary research using memoirs, newspapers, official documents and scientific reports.
Research Significance	Claire Brennan's research is significant in understanding the past of tropical Australia. In addition it can be used to critique and inform policy around crocodile management in Australia in the present.
