Abstract

Based on the authors' practical researching and statistical analyzing of the collected data obtained by the other geologists, this paper summarizes the current advances and encountering problems in geologic study and exploration of the skarn gold deposits, China. So the temporal and spatial distributions, the geodynamic backgrounds, the geological and the geochemical characteristics of the skarn gold deposits, as well as the geologic and geochemical features of the ore -related intrusions, are exclusively coincident with the metallogenic model for collision orogensis.
