Abstract

The findings of the second of three evaluations of a five year Apunipima Cape York Health Council Family Wellbeing (FWB) empowerment program are presented. Participants were interviewed to establish how useful the program had been in engaging families and communities. Their responses are analysed under four emerging themes: relevance and usefulness to the needs of Cape York Aboriginal people; personal changes for participants; increasing ability to support other people; and, case studies in personal and community development.
