Abstract

REE mineralization at Maoniuping in Western Sichuan Province, China, is associated with a Himalayan-style carbonatite-alkalic intrusive complex. Based on the results of petrography, microthermometry, SEM/EDS, EPMA, LRM, LA-ICP-MS, PIXE of melt and melt-fluid inclusions in fluorite, this paper discusses the deriving mechanics and characteristics of primary carbonatite fluid.
