Abstract

This set of posters was created as part of the Cape York Cannabis Project and the Weed It Out initiative, produced by the Queensland Police Service and James Cook University. The four posters offer an Indigenous perspective on the impact of cannabis use in their communities and on their culture.

Research Statement

Research Background Posters came from Psychology thesis by Bernadette Rogerson 'Cannabis use, dependence and withdrawal' and the Cape York Cannabis Project #601002 (Chief Investigator: Alan Clough).
Research Contribution Artwork was created by artists of Cape York and Torres Strait.
Research Significance Engagement, resource that feeds back results from prison to community.
