Abstract

Samantha (aged 59 years) and her family have been regular visitors to your pharmacy for many years. One day, while waiting for your staff to dispense a repeat prescription for esomeprazole for her husband (aged 63 years), she mentions they are planning a 'trip of a lifetime' to Africa. She asks if you think they'll need any vaccinations. At the moment they aren't exactly sure where they will visit, but friends have recommended visiting the Serengeti National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, as both the wildlife and scenery are spectacular. They also want to plan some stopovers during their outward and return journeys. What advice would you give Samantha and her husband?
