Abstract

In this study, the in-vitro degradation resistance of polylactic acid (PLA) coated magnesium alloy was evaluated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in simulated body fluid. EIS results suggest that PLA coating significantly enhances the degradation resistance of the alloy and also showed inhibited pitting corrosion.
